To ensure a good key
for the paint the cab is sand blasted. As Robin uses the blaster a lot the
price is quite reasonable.

Robin emphasised to the
blaster that he wanted all the corners and edges blasting.

The blasted panels are
rubbed down and any slight imperfections filled.

the same treatment as the top. The brown is stopper. ( A form of filler paste.)

Work starting on the
chassis. The chassis was quite solid compared to the rest of the vehicle.

After some initial repairs
the chassis was blasted. This would show up any weak spots and make repairs
easier.

Repairs were carried
out on the clean chassis. Robin is gas welding in a repair.

The chassis was blasted
a second time after all the repairs had been completed.

Robin spent as much effort
on the chassis to get a good finish as he did on the cab.
