A pair of original
crowns were obtained for the sides of the rear. Applying the crowns required
the use of gold size (a kind of varnish) and a lot of care. Here the size
has been applied and is drying. The simple jig ensures accurate positioning. |
The inside of the rear
doors have mesh covering the windows. The grills were blasted and re-plated.
The check strap for the door was remade at the local leather shop. |

The front wings were
not in this condition when the van was purchased. Robin sanded and treated
the wings to get them looking this good. |
The van next to a telephone
box. Even though Robin has his own box it doesn`t make for a good photograph. |

Robin with one of his
trophys. He did not build the van to win prizes. |
The underneath is very
clean and tidy but it takes a bit of cleaning to keep it looking this good. |

One feature of the van
which makes it stand out from the rest is the compliment of tools and telephone
spares in the rear. |
