I hired a TIG welder
for a week to do the final welding to the chassis. This picture shows how
the chassis has a gained a covering of rust. |
The body was stored on
the front lawn. I t had to be tied down to stop it blowing in the wind. |

While the chassis is
being welded and cleaned all the rest of the parts from the car have to be
stored somewhere. Due to lack of space the safest place is my bedroom. |
While Mum and Dad were
away Robin was able to use the carport to spray the inside of the body. (
The caravan is normally stored in the carport. ) |

The inside of the body
was first done in etch, then primer. |
Matt black is the final
colour of the inside. |

The chassis was cleaned
in a day by Tony Amos and myself using emery cloth. |
The front view of the
chassis shows how true the frame is. All tubes are level, not bad for construction
on an unlevel floor. |

While the chassis is
out of the garage Robin sprays some of the components, the radius arms and
steering column. |
